Meet the Governors
Welcome to the Governors' Section
School governing bodies are responsible for working with the school to ensure that it delivers a good quality education. Together with the Headteacher, who is responsible for day-to-day management, they set the school's aims and policies.
Governors have three main roles:
To provide strategic direction for the school
To act as a critical friend to the Principal
To ensure accountability
They also carry out several other important duties, which include:
Determining how the school's budget is spent
Hearing appeals and grievances
Forming policy on the school's curriculum and collective worship
Setting standards for pupil behaviour
Making sure school buildings are welcoming and safe
Setting and monitoring the school's aims and policies
Staff recruitment and retention
We are incredibly fortunate to have a fantastic team of governors who have a real energy, enthusiasm and desire to help provide our children with the best possible education.

Could You Be Our Next Parent Governor?
We are currently looking for a new Parent Governor to join our school’s governing board – and it could be you!
Being a Parent Governor is an incredibly rewarding and valuable role. As part of our governing body, you’ll help shape the strategic direction of the school, support the leadership team, and ensure every child receives the very best education and opportunities. It’s a chance to make a genuine difference – not just to your own child’s school experience, but to the lives of all the children in our care.
You don’t need to be an expert in education – the most important qualifications are enthusiasm, commitment and a desire to help our school continue to thrive. Parent Governors bring a vital perspective and voice to our team. Your knowledge of the local community and your experience as a parent are hugely important.
According to the Department for Education, school governors play a crucial role in “ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction” and in holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school. Training and support will be provided, so you’ll be fully prepared to make a meaningful contribution.
We would love to hear from parents who are keen to work with us to ensure that our children continue to flourish. If you’re interested or would like to find out more about the role, please speak to the school office about how to apply.
Make a difference. Become a Parent Governor.
